We are pleased to announce that Tsuyoki Taneda, Founder & CEO of Lively LLC, has been appointed as a Specially Appointed Associate Professor at the Innovation Design Platform (IdP) of the Institute of Science Tokyo, effective December 1, 2025.
In this role, he will further develop his expertise in sustainability and innovation—built through years of collaboration with companies, government agencies, and research institutions—and apply it across education, research, and practical initiatives.
This appointment also strengthens Lively’s mission to advance industry-academia collaboration models that simultaneously address social challenges and enhance corporate value, accelerating efforts toward a sustainable society.
The IdP is a central hub within Institute of Science Tokyo (established from the merger of Tokyo Institute of Technology and Tokyo Medical and Dental University), focused on creating transformative social innovation. The platform connects companies, government agencies, universities, and citizens through initiatives such as research commercialization, startup support, and collaborative projects. I am truly honored to join the IdP at the Institute of Science Tokyo as a Specially Appointed Associate Professor. Over the years, I have worked with many companies, local governments, and universities on sustainability management and innovation for a more sustainable society.
At the IdP, I look forward to helping develop new models that link education, research, and practical action, while nurturing the next generation of leaders and organizations capable of driving social transformation.
