Lively will co-host the “Regenerative Agriculture: Kikuimo Harvesting Experience Program” with Niko Niko Farm on Sunday, March 1, 2026. The event will be held at the Niko Niko Farm, operated by the NPO ma,icca!! in Fujisawa City, Kanagawa Prefecture, which practices regenerative agriculture. Through these activities, they will explore food practices that connect to the next generation and learn about sustainable forms of agriculture.

Application Details: Please check here.

Background & Objective

In recent years, regenerative agriculture* has gained global attention as “agriculture that regenerates the environment.” Niko Niko Farm in Fujisawa, Kanagawa Prefecture was among the first in Japan to practice regenerative agriculture. They continue growing vegetables using “no-till cultivation” without heavy machinery and “organic cultivation” free from pesticides and chemical fertilizers. Furthermore, they actively engage in farm-hosted events and agriculture-welfare collaboration projects, proposing a “sustainable approach to agriculture” where local people connect through the farm.

Following our previous seed planting experience program, Lively is co-hosting this program with Niko Niko Farm. Our goal is to deepen understanding of regenerative agriculture and provide a hands-on experience to feel soil regeneration and the connection between nature and people with all five senses. For this second session, we offer a time to experience the connection between nature and people not just with your mind, but with your body, through harvesting Kikuimo.

*Regenerative Agriculture
An agricultural method that increases soil organic matter and restores and improves soil health. Specific practices include “no-till farming” where crops are grown without tilling the soil, “cover crops” used for soil restoration, and “organic farming” that avoids pesticides and chemical fertilizers. Soil restored through no-till farming is gaining attention as a climate change countermeasure because it sequesters CO2.

Following our previous seed planting experience program, we are now hosting a regenerative agriculture experience program focused on harvesting.

The Kikuimo we will harvest this time are gaining attention as a superfood due to their high nutritional value. They are one of the vegetables Niko Niko Farm has carefully cultivated every year since its opening.

This program offers more than just harvesting vegetables at the farm. Through the experience of tasting the vegetables you harvest right there on the spot, we provide an opportunity to reflect on daily eating habits, health, and the future of food for the next generation.
We sincerely look forward to your participation.
